1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using PawDose (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
These terms apply to all users of the App, including users who access the App through the Apple App Store.
2. Description of Service
PawDose is a pet medication tracking application for iOS devices. The App allows you to:
- Create pet profiles and medication schedules
- Scan prescription labels using Apple Intelligence (on-device processing)
- Receive medication reminders via push notifications
- Track medication adherence with the Paw Score feature
- Sync data across your devices via iCloud
- Use the companion Apple Watch app
3. Important Medical Disclaimer
⚠️ PawDose is not a medical device.
PawDose is a convenience tool designed to help pet owners organize and remember medication schedules. It is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Always follow your veterinarian's instructions. Always verify medication details, dosages, and schedules with your veterinarian or pharmacist before administering any medication to your pet.
In case of a medical emergency, contact your veterinarian or an emergency animal hospital immediately.
4. Prescription Scanning Accuracy
The RxScan feature uses Apple Intelligence to read prescription labels. While we strive for accuracy, automated reading of prescription labels may produce errors. You are solely responsible for verifying that all scanned information — including medication names, dosages, and schedules — is correct before saving and relying on it.
PawDose is not responsible for errors arising from misread prescription labels or incorrect data entry.
5. License
PawDose grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms and the Apple App Store Terms of Service.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse-engineer, or otherwise misuse the App or its content.
6. Intellectual Property
PawDose and all its content — including the name, logo, design, features, and underlying code — are the property of PawDose and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
The PawDose name, the paw logo, and any associated trademarks are owned by PawDose. You may not use these marks without our written permission.
7. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use the App only for lawful purposes
- Verify all medication information with your veterinarian
- Keep your device and iCloud account secure
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or misuse the App
- Not use the App in any way that could harm your pet or others
8. Availability and Updates
We strive to keep PawDose available and up-to-date, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time.
We recommend keeping the App updated to the latest version to ensure you have the most accurate features and any security improvements.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PawDose and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:
- Missed medication doses
- Errors in prescription scanning
- Loss of data
- Harm to your pet resulting from reliance on the App
The App is provided “as is” without any warranties, express or implied.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the App or by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
